Any hardware (camera, switcher, scalar, etc.) that is recognized by the software encoder and is resource efficient, will be good for streaming. Certain devices like the Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle can transform an old SD camera into a HD streaming machine as it leverages the camera’s image sensor and bypasses the camera’s encoding method.
